There are a variety of different Blepha products which you may have already used, but have you ever tried the Blepha Eye Bag?

What is the Blepha Eye Bag?

The Blepha Eye Bag is an easy-to-use, microwavable warming eye mask that relieves symptoms of dry eye associated with Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD) which is a leading cause of dry eye, along with other related eye conditions such as Blepharitis, Stye, and Chalazion. The Blepha Eye Bag may also relieve discomfort related to contact lenses worn by patients suffering from dry eye.

Some benefits of the Blepha Eye bag include:

  • Proven to be effective & safe
  • Pleasant-to-use on a daily basis
  • Developed by an ophthalmologist
  • Free from additives and plastics
  • Biodegradable & recyclable packaging

It’s also important to note that the eye bag is made from natural silk, cotton, and untreated flax (linseed), which means that it isn’t suitable for Vegans.

How to use the Blepha Eye bag

For the first two weeks use the Blepha Eye bag twice a day for 5 to 10 minutes each time. Ideally, morning and evening. Suitable for children from the age of 3 years old, adults, and pregnant or breastfeeding women. The Blepha Eye Bag is safe and efficient to use up to 200 times before it must be replaced. There is extra information inside of the instructions leaflet in the box if you would like extra guidance.

Conditions that usually benefit from regular twice-daily Blepha eye bag treatment are:

  • Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD)
  • Blepharitis
  • Dry eye syndrome
  • Styes
  • Eyelid cysts (Meibum cysts known as a chalazion, pronounced Ka-lazy-on)
  • Contact lens dry eye
  • Corneal laser dry eye
  • Seborrheic dermatitis
  • Rosacea

There are also a variety of other symptoms that the eye bag can alleviate, these include tired eyes, redness, bleary vision, dry eye, and many others. The bag is great for use in the morning when the eyes are tired and need a bit of help and even a night to relax your eyes and get yourself ready for bed. The eye bag is great for everyone and is best used in the winter when the eyes get colder and dryer. We also recommend using the Blepha Eye Bag after work or staring at a screen, the warming sensation helps to relieve the tension from the eyes and rehydrates them, alleviating the feeling of dry and tired eyes after a long day in the office.

What are some benefits of Flax for the eyes?

Flax, also known as common flax or linseed, is a flowering plant, Linum usitatissimum, in the family Linaceae. Flaxseed oil is high in omega-3 fatty acids. There is some evidence to show that omega-3 fatty acids might be beneficial for people with dry eyes. Omega-3 fatty acids might relieve dry eyes by increasing healthy tear production, reducing inflammation, and balancing hormones.

The Blepha Eye bag contains flax, which helps to alleviate these symptoms, if you would like to look at the product, click here for more information.
